Neal Karlen is a former Contributing Editor for Rolling Stone, staff writer for Newsweek, and regular contributor to the New York Times. He’s the author most recently of This Thing Called Life, a biography/memoir of Prince, and other books on a range of topics from minor league baseball to fundamentalist religion to linguistics. A graduate of Brown University, he lives in his hometown of Minneapolis.
